We have had the wonderful opportunity of being able to work alongside Troy University over the past few years. Here’s a recap of some of our amazing projects that have transformed the beautiful campus in Troy, Alabama.
On a soggy June 1st night, we here at Seay, Seay, & Litchfield welcomed in the summer by taking a night out to the Montgomery Biscuits game! With family and friends in attendance, we were privileged to watch our own team member Davis Campbell take his pitching skills to the field and throw out the first pitch. And although he was a little unsure of his throwing abilities, we’re happy to report that his pitch did, in fact, make it all the way to the plate.
The game itself was an action-packed event, with the Biscuits coming out on top over the Tennessee Smokies 9-2! Can’t wait to do it again!
For ten years, Seay, Seay & Litchfield has awarded a yearly endowed scholarship to one student from the College of Architecture at Auburn University for demonstrating strong performance in design studio and academic achievement. This year’s recipient is Margaret Shariett from Decatur, AL. Margaret, in her fifth year at Auburn, is also the recipient of the Alabama Architecture Foundation Scholarship. While completing her BA, she has studied at Istanbul Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey and interned with Schneider & Associates in Huntsville, AL. She is currently studying at the Rural Studio in Greensboro/Newbern, AL and working on the $20K House for which the Rural Studio has been nationally recognized. The design challenge is to build two-bedroom house models that can be built by contractors anywhere in the rural South for only $20,000, including labor. We are excited to see what Margaret and her fellow students create in Hale County. Congratulations Margaret, SSL wishes you success in your final year!
